Fiber optics
Fortune magazine named Narinder Singh Kapany an Indian-American physicist as one of the seven biggest uncelebrated yet truly great individuals of humanity for his innovation of fiber optics. He is otherwise called the ‘Father of Fiber Optics’ for his spearheading work in Fiber Optics innovation.
Narinder Singh Kapany was brought into the world in the modest community of Moga, Punjab on October 31, 1926. He finished his graduation at Agra University and post his alumni studies, filled in as an Indian Ordnance Factories Services (IOFS) official. Be that as it may, later he chose to concentrate further and moved to London in 1952 to learn at the renowned Imperial College. Here he attempted to get his PhD in the field of optics, which he got in the year 1955.
