Top 10 Shocking Johnny Depp Characters
Sweeney Todd in Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2007)
Johnny Depp may not be an extraordinary vocalist, but rather he certainly does his absolute best with it as the nominal stylist. Sweeney Todd is perhaps the most interesting melodic. You frequently don’t see throat-cutting and barbarianism set up with a good soundtrack. In any case, Tim Burton brilliantly makes a Burton-esque London that would give even Charles Dickens bad dreams. Then, at that point, he simply allows Depp to take off into his job.
Depp is everything except two-layered As Benjamin Barker and Later as Sweeney Todd. This is a man who is loaded with despair, is consumed with disdain, and smells of retribution. Depp is such a decent entertainer that he isn’t simply singing Steven Sondheim tunes, he is imitating the verses. Similar as Rent, the melodies of Sweeney Todd are there to communicate feeling and exposit the plot, and Depp feels impeccably appropriate for it.
