Top 10 Best Movies Of GVM

Gautham Menon is one of Tamil cinema’s most elusive filmmakers, as he was the one who resurrected the auteur movement in an industry that never recovered from its obsession with stars and mass productions. Even though K Balachandar, Bharatiraja, and Balu Mahendra were auteurs in their own right during India’s pre-liberalization period, their work was limited to a more artistic genre. Gautham has gone on to create a genre for himself by snatching the ‘mass’ baton from the typical uneducated, lower-class, Tamil-proud hero and placing it in the hands of a Kada-wearing, smartly-dressed, clean-shaven, English-spouting metropolitan upper-middle-class youngster.

Kaakha Kaakha

This film depicts the honesty with which police officers go about their jobs. one of the best cop movies ever made. The Gvm script is fantastic. The best couple is Surya and Jyothika. Dialogues are fantastic. It’s an action-packed, suspense-filled, and emotionally charged love tale. Gvm is always a pleasure to work with. The music and songs of Harris Jayaraj are fantastic. Surya’s film is one of the best of his career.

Vaaranam Aayiram

Suriya’s vaaranam aayiram, also known as v1000, is one of my all-time favourite songs. This film is both heartfelt and fantastic, as it tells the storey of Surya, an army officer. It tells us about Surya and his father Krishnan’s wonderful relationship. The tale contains three lovely love stories as well as all of the other emotions. And kudos to Suriya for taking on the role of a character in so many makeovers. He’s played everything from a 17-year-old schoolboy to a 72-year-old guy, and he handled both roles with ease. He was fully immersed in the film, and the way his expressions changed was incredible.

Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu

Fantastic film. Greatest of all time. It’s worth watching many times. Kamal and Gautham make an excellent team. All of the incidents in the cop’s life are wonderfully interwoven in the script. The suspenseful mystery, as well as the search for and execution of a serial murderer, continues until the very end. A true source of inspiration for the next generation of filmmakers. Not to mention Harris’ adorable BGM and songs.

Vinnaithandi Varuvaya

Vinnaithandi Varuvaya

A film that I never get tired of seeing over and over. The truth is vividly depicted on both sides of the narrative. Not every love storey ends in marriage; not everyone can do exactly what their heart desires (Jessy); not everyone can move on after a breakup (Karthik); love can make you both vulnerable and strong (Love between Jessy and Karthik). Without a doubt, the best romantic film I’ve ever seen. What a film!!!!! Beautiful, fascinating, honest, and unforgettable characters. Any of the scenes and dialogues are exceptional. The songs are thought-provoking, mysterious, and surreal. This film has the ability to take you out of yourself. I’m completely enthralled. This film leaves a lingering impression.

Minnale

Minnale was one of the most successful Tamil films in the year it was released. The plot was not fresh in the Western film, but it was certainly new in Indian cinema. The film Titanic dealt with the subject of loving an engaged child. The aspect of impersonation had been included by the director. The crew completed their work flawlessly. Both the graphics and the music were excellent. The magic of this pairing of composer Harris and director Gautham happened for the first time, and the duo would go on to produce some excellent music in modern Tamil cinema in the years to come. When it was first released, this album was a huge hit. All of the college/school cultural programmes reflected this. The music was well-received in Tamil Nadu. This film’s music is also well-liked by movie buffs and lovers. It became well-known prior to the film’s release, which helped the film perform well at the box office.

Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada

Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada

After their fruitful collaboration in Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa, Gautham Vasudev Menon and Silambarasan reunite in Achcham Enbadhu Madamaiyada. Achcham Enbadhu Madamaiyada is a much more action-oriented film than their previous romantic drama. The film begins as a soft romantic drama before transitioning into a full-fledged action thriller with the aim of boosting Silambarasan’s mass appeal. Gautham Menon, as usual, had developed the characters and their backstories without relying too heavily on complicated flashbacks. Unfortunately, because of the ambiguous surprises that occur during the interval, the plot and screenplay seem to be a little bit mixed up.

Yennai Arindhaal

The first half of the film is a little slow, particularly Trisha’s scenes. The second half, on the other hand, is pure mass for Ajith fans, and it’s very sweet. The film was saved by Ajith and Arunvijay’s performances. GVM could have improved the film by removing Trisha’s character and focusing on some action/thriller elements. Overall, the film is appropriate for Ajith fans and families. On the other hand, some say the screenplay is sluggish and reminiscent of Gautham Menon’s earlier films “Kaakha Kaakha” and “Vettaiyadu Vilaiyadu.”

Only those who understand the depths of love and pain, as well as those who miss someone dearly, will enjoy “Neethaane En Ponvasantham,” a wonderful film about a “GIRL” who loves her “GUY” truly/badly. The film starts with an enchanting song that had me completely engrossed in the storey, particularly since it was shot at SSN college. I felt like I was in my college when I shot this song in the hostel, entrance, auditorium, and different Department buildings.

Pachaikili Muthucharam

Sarath Kumar has delivered an understudy that will convince many cynics that he can be subtle. He exudes trepidation in the early stages of his relationship with Jyothika’s character, up until the turning point (he appears quite convincingly unsure of “taking the next step”). As far as the average Tamil viewer would like to see on television, the theme is mature and unorthodox. And maybe a tad unsettling for the typical macho or ‘happily married’ audience. Gautham deserves credit for believing that he might pull it off. He, on the other hand, does not.

Nadunisi Naaygal

Gautham Vasudev Menon has taken on a lot of responsibility as a director when it comes to your subject. Most of the time, we find it difficult to express our feelings because dealing with reality takes time. It’s as if you’re going through a period of Cognitive Dissonance. Since a “Yes” does not always imply a “Yes,” and a “No” does not always imply a “No”.All it takes is a little empathy for the topic and a better understanding of our own viewpoint. Veera Bahu, who plays a moral dunderhead, is a fascinating find. The onus is clearly on Veera, who appears in almost every picture. In the latter half of the film, his deep voice and delivery deserve special mention.
