Passionate Sikhs Also Wear the “Five K’s”
Whole hair (kesh) is one of the five K’s. The other four things passionate Sikhs wear consistently are a wooden brush (kangha), an iron wristband (kara), an iron blade (kirpan), and exceptional underpants (kachera). They’re known as the five K’s on the grounds that, in Punjabi, each word starts with the “k” sound. These statements of belief represent a singular’s dedication to the Sikh practice.
