Sri Lanka has two names that it’s otherwise called. The first is ‘pearl of the Indian Ocean’, this is supposed to be named after its extraordinary magnificence, shifted biodiversity (the most noteworthy in Asia!), as well as one of its fundamental products being valuable gemstones. The second, the ‘tear of India’, is somewhat more self-evident, because of its ideal tear shape and being off the shore of India.
