List of 10 World Smartest and Intelligent Countries

There are a number of Intelligent Countries in the world which rule the globe but there are many who are rated high with their intelligence. These are the countries with the highest percentage of the masses who have post-secondary education. In this article, the world’s top 10 most intelligent countries will be discussed. Yahoo News has released the list of the world’ top notch smartest countries recently.

Denmark

Denmark, a European country, is at number tenth position on the list. The tuition fee is free for education and this shows how much interest the state takes in education. And the state also pays the students for going to the university. The tuition free rules mostly applies to the Danish nationals, foreign students are not awarded with these facilities.

Switzerland and Luxembourg

At the 9th position, there are two countries – Switzerland and Luxembourg. Both of these European countries share the place together. As per the reports, Luxembourg has only one university nonetheless more than 35 percent of the population is laced with university degree. Switzerland too has the same ratio but there are many universities and educational institutions.

Ireland and Estonia

Interestingly, at the eighth place on the list, there are once again two countries which share the position together. They are Estonia and Ireland. In both of these countries, 36 percent of the masses (population) hold university degrees. As for Estonia, it has great quantity of the educational institutions.

UK, Norway, Finland & Australia

Next position (seventh place) is shared by four countries together - 7. Norway, United Kingdom, Finland and Australia. Talking about Norway and Finland, the 37 percent masses there hold university degree and interestingly, education is free there. The same ration is for Australia and UK and both of these countries have known educational institutions.

South Korea

South Korea’s education system is quite strict. When you are out for employment, your university studies are taken into consideration. More than 39 percent of the population there has university degrees.

New Zealand

On fifth place, there comes New Zealand. The literary rate in the country is 99 percent. More than 40 percent of the population has university degree. Educational institutions and universities in New Zealand are much popular in the world.

On the fourth position is the world power USA. In America, more than 4,495 colleges and universities operating there. As per the reports, women have surpassed the men in educations. And till 2006, 58 percent of women had earned bachelor’s degrees, 60 percent earned Masters degrees and 49 percent had earned Ph.D degrees.

Japan

The data shows that technological advanced Japan’s 44 percent masses went for pursuing the higher education. Japan has so far produced 15 noble laureates in various fields such as chemistry, physics and medicine.

Israel

Israel is on the second position on the list of world’s smartest countries as far as education is concerned. 64 years back, the higher education was not in everyone’s reach – only fewer could get that. There were around 1600 students enrolled for higher education and in 2010-2011, the number jumped to 206,000.

Canada No.1 List of Intelligent Countries

Canada enjoys the first place on the list. Half of the population of the country has post secondary, diploma or certificate. The reports say that 68 percent of the masses aged 15 or above have post secondary education. Canada is growing very fast and today is the world’s smartest country.

    bs. I don’t think any research was done to make this list. It’s lies. Canada # 1? LOL. S.Korea is ahead of them, Japan is ahead of them. Israel # 2? Student jumping to get an education doesn’t make you smart, It’s student willing to go.
    USA being # 4 is alright, but it’s somewhere in 6. PPL In america are getting dumb, Japan is ahead of them. Where is China and India?

    Lol you cant count it in regards of numbers of educated students. for example in UK is lot of students they come and go whereas born british people are not interested in study much and their educational system is low quality in most schools. being said that Russhians might not have that many students, but their schools are very hard..low quality education doesnt make you super intelligent. and also uk has primitive people who cant even read or write. so you have to take in account.- eduacted vs uneducated to get average number.
